English Synopsis: Wrapped is an exciting 25 minute drama from RTE’s Storyland 2023 starring Ella Lily Hyland (Amazon Prime’s Fifteen Love) and Lauryn Canny (Normal People, Dating Amber).

With cocaine worth thousands of euro strapped to their bodies Lisa and Ali are intent on getting through airport security undetected. First time drug smugglers, they’ve no choice but to trust each other.
Other Information (if required): Wrapped is a thrilling drama from IFTA nominated writer Tracy Martin. The story and characters have been developed through an RTE radio play that was nominated for the prestigious Stewart Parker Award & the BBC Radio Awards for Best European Drama.

Mia, the director's, vision for Wrapped was to be hit immediately with the tension of Ali and Lisa making their way through the airport, as flashbacks reveal how they got to this crazy point in their lives. Friendship and trust turns to delusion and betrayal.

A number of stylistic layers were woven together to build constant pressure - a restless music score, visual design evoking an authoritarian space with no escape, sound design getting the audience into Ali’s and Lisa’s psychology, and most importantly a performance which portrays the panicked decisions and reactions of our protagonists.
